University of Phoenix Partners With Big Brothers Big Sisters for 4th year of First Chance Scholarships!!!
For the fourth year running, University of Phoenix has generously selected Big Brothers Big Sisters as a partner for the First Chance Scholarship. Created in 2006, the First Chance Scholarships were created to celebrate higher education and its potential to change lives, and and to honor individuals who have shown desire to improve their lives and the lives of those around them through education. Through this partnership, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona has the opportunity to identify 10 individuals to receive a full-tuition college scholarship to University of Phoenix, valued at about $40,000!!! This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals affiliated with BBBS of Central Arizona to further their education - see below for more information about how to be considered for selection!

- The scholarship is for either an undergraduate or master’s degree program. Recipients may choose a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online.
- Eligible recipients: current Bigs (who have been matched for at least one year), HS Bigs, Littles (high school graduates), Alumnus Littles, Parent/Guardians of a Little or staff member of BBBSAZ program.
- Eligibility criteria is on the application
- Applicants must meet the University’s enrollment policy for their perspective degree. This can be found on their website.
- Applicants do not enroll into the university until after they are awarded the scholarship
