J&G Steakhouse Hosts Professional Leadership Council Kick-off

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona kicked-off their Professional Leadership Council with an information session and luncheon Sunday, Jan. 11 at The Phoenician?s J&G Steakhouse.

More than 85 attendees enjoyed the elegantly modern restaurant atop The Phoenician, and dined on prime 8oz filet mignon, lemon-pepper chicken steak, heart of romaine Caesar salad, cream of tomato soup and cheesecake with sour cherry sorbet. The luncheon included a brief presentation from the Professional Leadership Councils president, Anthony Brown, of Pulte Homes.

Big Brothers Big Sisters' Professional Leadership Council will engage and utilize approximately 20 to 30 forward-thinking Valley business professionals in their 20's to early 40's, who are passionate about and committed to, Big Brothers Big Sisters' mission to help children realize their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationship with mentors.

"We are excited to engage business professionals in a new and creative way," said Amanda Crossland, vice president of development and marketing for Big Brothers Big Sisters. "By tapping into the generous spirit and talent of these individuals, we will continue to strengthen our community by providing mentors to every child who wants or needs one."

Each Council member will serve a two-year term on one of six sub-committees ranging from event planning, to volunteer recruitment and marketing.
