It’s time for Spring Cleaning!
Please consider donating your gently used clothing and household goods to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona (BBBSAZ). Did you know? BBBSAZ has an ongoing partnership with Savers thrift stores. Donations collected are sold to Savers, which helps fund local programs and services to support our mission. With your help, we can better serve our community as well as give the donated items a new life outside of a landfill.
AND, you can donate to BBBSAZ while raising money for your school, club, or organization!! It’s a WIN-WIN!
Setting up a clothing drive fundraiser is EASY!! Select a date and start promoting. Our wonderful BBBSAZ staff will design a beautiful flyer catered to your needs. See a sample flyer below for an upcoming fundraiser for an Elementary School’s PTO. In this example, people will bring bags of donations to the school’s Spring Fling event. A raffle ticket will be earned for each big bag! Kids who bring donations are entered to win an electric Razor scooter. It’s a fun add-on to any event!
We recommend promoting your clothing drive to the members of the group benefiting from the fundraiser but also to the community at large. People want to help causes that are important to you, and everyone has items to donate!
On your pick-up date, BBBSAZ can send a branded truck with a friendly driver to help your group load everything up. From there, donations will be weighed and sorted, and your group will earn $.20 per pound of clothing donations!! Items can include new or gently used clothing, shoes, curtains, bedding, belts, handbags, etc. Small household items are also accepted at $.05 per pound.
