Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona is incredibly excited to announce a brand new event: Wine, Women & Shoes! Taking place on August 17, 2024, at Chateau Luxe, this is an engaging and exciting fundraising event where community-minded, philanthropic women (and a few good men!) gather to sip, shop, savor, and support a worthy cause in a chic, fun, and innovative way. The event will begin with a marketplace, where all vendors are donating a portion of the proceeds back to BBBSAZ. Attendees will enjoy wine tasting while shopping and the chance to purchase exclusive “keys to the closet” for a chance to win an amazing closet full of items! Attendees will then enjoy lunch and a program that details the important work BBBSAZ is doing in the community. There will be several exciting live auction lots. The event will conclude with a fashion show featuring several Big Sisters and their adorable Littles!
Wine, Women & Shoes is being chaired by BBBSAZ supporters, Amy Walters and Lena Spotleson. These two amazing women will lead a powerhouse planning committee of 30+ community members in hosting this inaugural event.
Amy Walters is the Vice President of Product Operations for City of Hope. She has the honor of using cutting-edge technology to improve the overall patient experience. Amy is a Board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters Arizona and is an incredible Big Sister to her 16 year old Little, Liana.
Lena Spotleson is an Arizona native and currently serves as the Development Director, Academic Medicine at Banner Health Foundation. She is a former teacher and high school basketball coach of 20 years. Her career spans nonprofit management, event planning, and mentoring Arizona youth.
