Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona takes great pride in celebrating the special bond between our Bigs and Littles, particularly during their match anniversaries. To honor these milestones, we host Match Milestones events three times throughout the year. These events offer a unique opportunity for Bigs and Littles to come together with other matches to celebrate their anniversaries, whether they are marking their very first year together or their tenth.
Each year, we strive to make these celebrations memorable by choosing a different venue for the event. Past locations have included the beautiful Desert Botanical Garden, an exciting trampoline park, and the engaging Arizona Science Center. No matter the venue, our goal is to create a fun and meaningful experience for all attendees.
We hold a short program where we acknowledge and honor the years of connection and mentorship each match represents. This part of the event is often highlighted by the touching moments when some Bigs and Littles choose to share their favorite memories and adventures with the group. During the event, each match is recognized with a personalized certificate, celebrating the time and commitment they have shared.
These celebrations are more than just a way to recognize the time Bigs and Littles have spent together; they also reinforce the importance of their relationship and the positive impact they have on each other’s lives.
